This study of 1,054 infants, Published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, found measurable head shape improvement, with earlier treatment associated with greater correction. Adding to the evidence supporting 3D-printed cranial remodelling orthoses.

Current research showing that improved outcomes and reduced treatment times are possible with early intervention was coupled with 3D printing technology to design an innovative treatment program for infants with positional cranial deformation. This new treatment option has been shown to allow this population to access early care without the associated limitations of current CRO technology.

A recent study at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center on the side effects of Cranial Remodeling Orthoses found that ROKband is industry leading in the minimal side effects experienced by its patients.

In this study, authors found clear improvement in non-synostotic head deformity treated with an individual molding helmet and no clear evidence of improvement of absolute measurements in untreated cranial deformity within a 5-year follow-up period.

This study demonstrates that when the treatment of cranial asymmetry is initiated between 3-6 months of life, the best symmetry outcomes are obtained within a shorter time, as compared with a later intervention time.

This study demonstrates more significant and faster improvement of cranial shape in infants with positional plagiocephaly treated with a helmet as compared to conservative therapy, especially if the deformity is severe, and provided that helmet therapy is applied during the appropriate period of infancy.
